"Popcorn" is the nickname we gave to our incredibly active son. If you spent 2 minutes with him, you will easily understand the meaning of the nickname. The Chinese Noodle is the affectionate nickname we chose for our hoped for Daughter-to-Be, who may one day come to us in the LORD's perfect time from China.

Better than TV: Really talk to your family

Can you believe we have been a household of no TV Cable or Satalite TV for 7 (SEVEN!!!) years?? We are not that weird! We just have found lots of other things to do in our life (rather than to watch other people's lives). I encourage everyone to join the TV Turnoff Week (April 21st to 27th), or even just try to scale back on TV Tube dependence. Here are some surefire conversation starters to try when the kids "are Bored."

--Ask fun questions, like:
1. Would you rather... be too hot, or too cold?
...go without the sense of smell or the sense of taste?
...the possibilities are endless
2. If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?
... what woud you talk about wth this person?
3. Name the most important qualities a friend should have.
... what about a teacher? ...a Parent?
4. What 3 things mad you Laugh today?
5. Describe what you think the world will be like in 50 years.
...what about 1,000 years?
